The Yellow-footed Green Pigeon (Treron phoenicoptera) also known as Yellow-legged Green Pigeon is a common species of Green Pigeon found in the Indian Subcontinent.  They forage in flocks. In the early morning they are often seen sunning on the tops of emergent trees in dense forest areas.

    Hard to believe, but we also have green birds living wild here in Chicago. They are escaped pet parrots that have gone wild and even stick around through our frigid winters. Great photos, by the way.

    Very nice seeing them as I have never heard of them. great photo`s. we have a lot of beautiful looking birds here especially the Sun Birds that come to feed every day from the hanging bottles.
