Yellow Daylily Flower

Hemerocallis 'Yellow' (Yellow Daylily) - Evergreen variety with lemon yellow flower. Mid-season rebloomer. Dark green foliage reaches up to 24 inches tall. This name has been applied to this long time Santa Barbara landscape variety because we do not know its valid name. Plant in full sun to light shade. Although tough enough to handle minimal irrigation, plants look better and bloom far more when given a regular watering. It is tolerant of most soils and temperatures down well below 0° F. The flowers are edible and tasty and contain considerable amounts of vitamins A and C, plus some protein. Added to salads they add color and flavor.
