Belle de Crecy Rose
One of the finest, most free-flowering and reliable Gallica Roses. The colour goes through a succession of tints, starting as rich cerise-pink mixed with mauve when the flowers first open, gradually paling to soft parma-violet and finally to lavender-grey. The well-formed, double flowers open wide, eventually re-flexing back, each revealing an attractive green button eye. There is a very rich fragrance.
Lovely Rose!
ReplyDeleteVikey--Giving the names of the roses and their descriptions is so helpful! It gives me ideas for additions to my own rose garden. In addition to always being a source of top-notch rose photos, your blog is now a great source of rose information. I'd be curious to know if your WP "Stats" page (https://wordpress.com/my-stats/) shows that people are starting to search on particular rose NAMES and finding your blog.
